Telegraph doesn’t do share tokens but I’m sure the usual sites will have a link.
www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2022/06/17/rise-transgender-children-just-phase-mp-tells-schools/

”Nick Fletcher, the MP for Don Valley in South Yorkshire, stated that he believed “boys are boys and girls are girls” and said that he wanted to “clearly set out his position” on the issue, asking headteachers to do the same.

In the letter, he said: “Books which make this ideology acceptable to embrace and such media in all its forms that glamorise this transgender lifestyle are, I’m afraid, affirming something that is nothing more than a phase.”

One school has reportedly said that the letter was “neither helpful nor positively received”.

Mr Fletcher went on to say: “I understand schools sometimes feel as though they have to be all things to all people, and are afraid of being classed as transphobic. But please be assured that a pushback on this is desperately needed.””

Very mixed reactions to this on Twitter

I have heard him speak in Parliamentary debates on these issues and he appears to have done his research. I think it’s time more MPs spoke out on what is happening in our schools.

Well that's a start. Children being taught lies in school that they can change sex, puberty blockers are great and reversible and that they have no right to boundaries from the opposite sex is so bloody dangerous. It's active gaslighting (better words are available) and long overdue for our parliamentarians to speak out.

It was a firm letter by Nick, he is a committed Christian and is very concerned about the harms on the mental and physical health of children being subjected to indoctrination within schools by malign actors

The posts about it’s the same as being gay are really irritating. Gay is sexuality/biology, trans is identity. Not the same at all.

The same Nick Fletcher MP who thinks a woman playing Doctor Who caused the rise in young men committing crime.

Everyone has some silly opinions. He’s right about this.

He seems like a bit/lot of a dick but we need to start getting other views in schools. There will be school leaders / governors / teachers who don't agree with the trans ideology but all the time no-one says anything, they won't speak up.

The same Nick Fletcher MP who thinks a woman playing Doctor Who caused the rise in young men committing crime.

Had a look to see what this was about and it seemed that his (somewhat carelessly worded) points were more about the lack of positive role models for boys, with so many male characters being criminals. Not sure I'd have linked Dr Who being played by a woman into this but I share his concern about the nature of many of the role models available to vulnerable boys and young men.

I’m pleased he’s another MP who is speaking out but I really wish he hadn’t called it a phase. It’s not helpful and can easily be used to dismiss very valid concerns.

It is great that he has said he will back teachers in his constituency who stand up against the ideologs. It might give some the confidence to come off the fence.
