Actor Rainn Wilson apologises for chest-feeding “joke” tweet

American actor Rainn Wilson, known best as Dwight in the American version of The Office tweeted
“TIL [today I learned] you can no longer say 'nursing or breastfeeding mother' you have to say 'chestfeeding person’.”
(not really sure what the joke is, seems more of an observation?)
He faced what has been described as “as backlash from the trans community” and has now tweeted:
”yesterday I tweeted a mean crack about breastfeeding vs chestfeeding. After speaking with some Trans friends and educating myself a bit more I want to apologize for the tweet. It was adding to misinformation and meanness. I’m sorry.”

Why do these people always back down and grovel after attacks by trans activists?
Do none of them have the guts to stand up for scientific facts, common sense and reality? Or do they fear being ostracised by media luvvies and losing potential jobs?

There is so much power in the hands of transactivists. I just don't get it, I don't get why these people don't stick up for themselves rather than be educated with delusion.

Another case of unreasonable demands from trans activists, "rename breastfeeding to chestfeeding", "don't publicise that the term has changed, so that we don't look unreasonable". Another case of trying to keep it secret.

Can't stand the term "chestfeeding", reminds me too much of that alien busting of John Hurt's chest in Alien.

Every time a "celebrity" does this (speaks the truth) and then acquiesces and denounces their original statement due to pressure or fear of cancellation, I internally tick that person off as a weak coward.

I don’t get the problem? He literally just stated what has happened - this has indeed been the turn of events. There has been a push to start talking about ‘chest feeding’ (cringe-worthy terminology, but there you go).

Unfortunately Rainn Wilson is cancellable, he doesn't have the privilege of say Ricky Gervais and I might guess that he just doesn't want to take it on. The American Office is massive with millennials so I perhaps between him and his agent he's weighed up which side to go with.

Dwight would not have apologised and would have said something much more forthright in the first place...
