Posted earlier about my niece’s assembly and now it’s nowhere to be found. Are posts just being deleted if the message doesn’t fit?

And now I’ve seen a notification that it was deleted. Absolutely bizarre.

No explanation. Nothing. And I said nothing that was in anyway offensive or inflammatory. Sickening.

A reasonably measured post of mine got pulled partly because I referred to “trans identifying males”which I assumed was fairly uncontroversial. MN told me they don’t allow this term (or trans identifying females) because it is too focused on the original sex of the trans person who wishes to be identified another way (can’t remember the exact wording but they wad the gist).

They sent me a link to their rules on what they do and don’t allow, though I’ve not yet had a chance to read it.

if you email them they should tell you what was wrong with your thread.

I’m not saying MN always get this right or that I agree with what they told me but they are allowing a lot more free speech for GC people than many/any other major forum(s), and they do find themselves repeatedly under attack for not capitulating to TRA dogma. So on that basis I’m happy to try to follow the rules and avoid laying into them unless they really get it wrong.
