…and it will be BRILLIANT. Saturday 22- Monday 24 October 2022.

It’s a fabulous opportunity to meet, learn from and share with like-minded feminists. If you don’t know anyone when you go, don’t worry - you will by the end!

The website is www.filia.org.uk/ and here’s a video of previous highlights to give you an idea of what to expect. m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEO6-HW6JdU&feature=youtu.be

I can’t see what the rules are for concession tickets, might be being stupid though. Anyone know?

It’s here: www.filia.org.uk/faqs.

Concessionary tickets are for those age 12-18 / students / over 60’s (nod to the #WASPI Women) / in receipt of benefits.

Good to see so many DDs going.
Has anyone taken a DS? Mine is 12. Would it work?

MrsTerryPratchett · 04/08/2022 17:57

Are they still doing the thingy where you can pay for someone else to attend? i never get to go but have paid for someone else to go before.

crispinglovershighkick · 04/08/2022 19:09

Yes I think it's called a solidarity ticket. If you're buying one without booking a ticket for yourself there's a note on how to do that on the booking page.

crispinglovershighkick · 04/08/2022 19:14

From the booking page:
To buy a
standalone solidarity ticket,
please make your purchase on
the FiLiA website instead:

OP, do you know the timings on Monday? I can't do the weekend but would love to come on the Monday if timings work

Same timings as the weekend - open at 8 for registration, first event 9.30, finishes at 5.30. There’s going to be much less of a queue for registration on Monday though, I should think.

Got my ticket. Am a first timer. Where is the line up? Is there an app?

Ndd135632 · 07/08/2022 10:18

Oh and how to book a disco ticket for sat night ?

EmpressaurusWitchDoesntBurn · 07/08/2022 17:06

Hi @Ndd135632

The line up so far is here: www.filia.org.uk/agenda

There will be an app, you’ll get an email inviting you to download it a month before the conference.

You can get the party ticket at www.filia.org.uk/merch/party-ticket.

Have a great time!

Don’t worry about that! I went to my first FiLiA alone too back in 2017, & I’m still friends with some of the women I met there.

I booked the conference a while ago but was undecided on the party. It doesn’t look like you can just book a party ticket separately. Is there a way to add a party ticket to an existing booking?

EmpressaurusWitchDoesntBurn · 07/08/2022 21:31

Yes. If you’ve got a booking & just want a party ticket you can go to www.filia.org.uk/merch/party-ticket.

Bumping because the party tickets have nearly sold out!

For those who've not been before or who are going alone, the app allows for link-ups and meet-ups to be pre-arranged (there have been MN vipers meet-ups at previous events) and everyone is SO friendly. And you are likely to bump in to t-shirt-wearing / tote-bag carrying women in the hotel or on your way to the venue. The place will be dense with us!

And for anyone wondering whether to attend, or whether to get a party ticket DO IT! It'll be the best three days of your life, only better!

Yes - that's one of the best parts of it! Just look round when you come down for breakfast.

Latest conference updates: Elaine Miller of www.gussetgrippers.co.uk/, the woman who was attacked at Edinburgh Fringe because she dared to do a show about women, will be appearing.

There's also going to be a session on learning to do single sex tango!

I'm really interested in coming to this because I live in Cardiff, I'll be 8 months pregnant and on my own though - I'll be okay right?!

In the adjustments / need part of the booking you can ask them to reserve you an end seat so that you can get out to the loo quickly / get to the next session ahead of the crowds if you want.

I'm in the same position. I'm happy to organise a meet-up when the app is released if you'd be interested? I'll post it on here and hopefully a few people will join us

I’ve had to cancel for this year and I’m absolutely gutted. I hope you all have the best time, and roll on Glasgow!
