Following Strangio’s recent tweets as well, I am rather surprised to see this back lash against breastfeeding. Yes, it is hard. It is excruciatingly painful sometimes. I also don’t believe anyone should be shamed for their choices in this.

However, this could be said to be propaganda for formula companies surely? And not a woman to be seen. Just lactating parents!

Yeah.. can we stop with the breastapo/gestapo and nazi terminology? Being told what to do with your tits can't be compared to the Holocaust.

Yes. Infant feeding peer supporters (NHS volunteers) are trained to support all mothers, however they feed their babies. And yes, expressing and bottle feeding is included in that.

Sadly I think because of cuts in funding many areas struggle to offer adequate support. That covers a range of post-natal services, which has only worsened over covid. I expect it also varies by area, as with so many things.
