They are redefining lesbians - all definitions seem to be from Stonewall. So fucked up.

That's 100% Stonewall. You can tell by the Q word definition. No I don't agree it's been "reclaimed" and yes I do think some people regard it as offensive. I'd be mortified to throw that word around at work for example.

"Sex assigned at birth" is nonsense. Hardly like midwives (midbirthingassistantpersons?) are having a punt, is it?

Queer was reclaimed in the 80s?? I was at school in the 80s and 90s and it was definitely still used as a slur.

I was rebuked a while ago for defending the Scouts. I can see why!

Great to see a lot of pushback - some spot on and well educated responses, lots of 'discredited' referring to Stonewall and a good number of people saying they don't care if they are called transphobic and pointing out safeguarding concerns.

Yep @Toseland I have noticed more educated comments like these across the board to ridiculous social media posts, the recent benefit one was the same. A positive sign.

Any attempt to convert lesbians to being attracted to transwomen is conversion therapy and illegal under new laws. Perhaps they should be more careful of their definition of lesbian.

This is so sad. My sons are in scouts and there are trans people in their groups which up until now have been treated like the sex that they are when it came to sleeping arrangements. Now I worry what that actually means for their groups. Teenage pregnancies will result in this craziness. Maddening.

In Scouts, there has always been the option for mixed sex sleeping arrangements - but this is always in consultation with parents, and will continue to be the case.

Sorry, should have added to the above, sleeping arrangements will always be in consultation with parents, and the young people themselves.

Can I ask what the definition of gay man is?
