I'm very tempted to go along to this wearing something offensive, like a dictionary definition.

Well - in the same room. Neither seem like the type to want to share the limelight.

Why is a uniquely trans conversation ok but a uniquely women (biological women) conversation would be completely unacceptable?

It's a puzzle, I just can't think what it is about these two individuals that makes their voices more important than the voices of women. 🤔

Ignore it. I hope nobody attends and then they'll stop giving publicity to this shit.

ScreamingMeMe · 19/05/2022 08:31

Ewwww. I hope the randy budgies get a mirror each, otherwise much squawking and feather-ruffling will ensue.

I'm a BL member and saw this in their event programme. I think it's unlikely many members will have heard of either, or be tempted by the description. I have seen some proper top drawer speakers at their events (science communicator Maggie Aderin-Pocock, Tolkien illustrator Alan Lee, chess player Gary Kasparov, DJ Mark Radcliffe, best selling writers like Anna Pavord, Jeannette Winterson & Val McDermid etc). I think the biggest queue for book signing afterwards was for Stephen Morris (Joy Division drummer). I don't think Shon and Torrey are in quite the same league.

Likewise BL member.

BL's Unfinished Business had part of a case dedicated to Shon Faye's GRC, iirc.

Don’t all rush, I just (pretend) booked 60 tickets on line with no problems at all, clearly there hasn’t been a sell out……
🙂

Real bums on seats tickets, not online tickets, if you see what I mean.
