WPATH and fetish site links

"A top trans medical association sourced and appears to have collaborated with members of a fetish site that secretly hosts extreme child sexual abuse fantasies in order to draft their new guidelines for 'gender affirming' care."

reduxx.info/top-trans-medical-association-collaborated-with-castration-child-abuse-fetishists/

Huge admiration for both the journalistic research and the steel to wade through such awful links to get to the centre of this relationship and link.

To many of us - sadly, not surprised.

For those new to the forum: WPATH wpath.org/ World Professional Association for Transgender Health.

That link doesn't work pombear ?

pombear · 17/05/2022 20:06

MrsOvertonsWindow
I think it's a bit overloaded at the moment by visitors. I couldn't access it first time round - give it a couple of tries.

It may be blocked by parental controls (happens a fair bit with reasonable discussions of this subject but not with TRA stuff, can't think why)

pombear · 17/05/2022 20:16

I don't want to reproduce article here because they deserve the traffic and full read, but the summary is:
In 2020 WPATH released guidance that included 'eunuch' as a 'gender identity'.
Reduxx traces links WPATH citations re eunuch to site which back to late 90's documented child sex exploitation fantasies.
Cue highly prominent moderator of said site then claimed to have been invited to contribute to WPATH guidance in 2018 for revisions re eunuchs.

"In WPATH’s draft Standards of Care, the Eunuch Archive’s ‘Fiction Archive’ is directly acknowledged and named. But the document does not mention the large amount of stories within the archive that directly involve the sadistic sexual abuse of children."
Disturbing potential links between the two follow in the article.

This is disturbing, and something you don't want to be true. If you still can't access it, then it's already been archived although I believe convention says you should access the source if you can.

MagnoliaTaint · 17/05/2022 23:08

Jesus. That is ... well. It's appalling.

If this goes in the press, will anyone even believe it?

FemaleAndLearning · 17/05/2022 23:37

It makes me feel sick. I'm still quite new to all this and the depraved behaviours of some men.

WarriorNewAgain · 18/05/2022 06:50

Jfc.

Just when you think it can't get any worse...

Iirc one of the siblings who did the Matrix became trans via bdsm interests. (That's been detailed as visiting clubs.)

FemaleAndLearning it gets quite tough to cope with at times.

tabbycatstripy · 18/05/2022 06:50

Not surprised. WPATH is basically a medical lobby group.

WarriorNewAgain · 18/05/2022 06:52

Yes it's not an official society of medics. Anyone can become a member iirc. I think the CEO of mermaids is too.

Fine company they all keep Hmm

WarriorNewAgain · 18/05/2022 06:54

It's a group of self appointed self declared experts.

WarriorNewAgain · 18/05/2022 06:56

Genevieve is my personal hero at the moment.

I don't know how she copes with all this horror.

She wrote a piece on eunuch cults not so long ago.

Whatwouldscullydo · 18/05/2022 06:59

This is where a complete inability to read or listen or contemplate negative outcomes gets you.

This isn't a surprise to us obviously. However I await the denial and the accusations towards " transphobes " to excuse a lack of due diligence.

WarriorNewAgain · 18/05/2022 07:16

This is where a non scientific cult who places themselves in a position of power and 'world wide excellence,' without any due diligence from the rest of the scientific community, gets you.

The whole thing is built on shifting sands.

It's worse than that - it's built on bs and self justification.

veronicagoldberg · 18/05/2022 08:26

For so long, the LGBT community has worked to change the view that we're all perverts and weirdos. And now this.

I'm furious.

NotBadConsidering · 18/05/2022 08:35

Just when you think it can’t get any worse.

“and pedophilic fantasies of children who have been castrated to halt their puberty, ‘freezing’ them in a childlike state.”

What I want to say, I can’t. But you all know what I want to say about this.

Huge thanks to Genevieve Gluck and team for doing that, I can’t imagine how horrifying it must be to read some of that content.

Timerunningout · 18/05/2022 08:39

This is heroic journalism. Puts enablers like the Guardian to shame.

But it's not very surprising. When an entire political movement is built on male sex fetishes, and the rest of us are ordered to put up with it because 'NoDebate'.

Artichokeleaves · 18/05/2022 08:39

Hopefully the evidence is now piling up high enough that whackamole shhh, shh, delete, ban, bekind etc is switching into lets take a very clear objective look at all this and lets have a whole lot of open debate.

Artichokeleaves · 18/05/2022 08:42

And when I say open debate, I mean ordinary people, the millions who work in real jobs with real children and do real safeguarding. Not a lot of academics so soaked in uberprogressive, high faluting theory to the degree they cannot communicate except in word salad, and lost all contact with ground control years ago.

Xoxoxoxoxoxox · 18/05/2022 08:50

I suppose the stable door has been well and truly opened to the acceptance of extreme body altering procedures with the proliferation of trans medical treatments particularly in the US. It's just another option on the menue of increasingly bizarre surgeries that they offer on demand.
Other groups who want extreme surgery and body altering hormones for different reasons must be lobbying to be allowed access - we have become very unused to setting any boundries now and saying 'no'.

Whatwouldscullydo · 18/05/2022 08:59

Happy to be corrected on this but I vaguely recall an issue in the states I think with an FGM bill and opposition for it because it could potentially have an.effect access to the reassignment surgeries.

As I said happy to be corrected on that. But we do have to keep asking. Just what will.it take.

WarriorNewAgain · 18/05/2022 09:35

Yes terry.

Or worse than that but I'll be deleted.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 18/05/2022 09:40

Ran off with Buck Angel's female partner who was a dominatrix. It's a fascinating story.
