Article in the Guardian about why homophobia against straight men needs to be addressed. Apparently straight men are at risk of homophobic abuse if they “violate the boundaries of masculinity”, which according to Owen include, being kind and empathetic and “ by not objectifying women or treating them as equals”. Blimey, that will put the frighteners on the guardian readership even faster than news that quinoa is in short supply.

He also challenges ( if that is the word) “perceptive discrimination” when people are treated unfairly on the grounds that they are ‘perceived’ to have a protected characteristic, he gives as an example Sikh men( not, you notice Sikh women, or even Sikh people) who are abused because they are perceived to be Muslim. Not sure where “perceptive discrimination” leaves women, but am pretty sure it is low down on the pecking order as usual, though also in todays guardian interestingly enough is an article by a transwoman who is apparently astonished at the unwarranted verbal sexual harassment she gets, which apparently didn’t happen at all when she wasn’t a transwoman. Maybe she ought to get together with Owen for support.

Anyway good to know that straight men have such a champion in their midst. I hope they can all breathe a little easier knowing that OJ is on their side. He has done such amazing things for gay and transitioning men after all.

Yeah I hadn't looked into it before I posted the above (good job I don't have a million followers! 😂), it's pretty clear she has been hacked!

Am cringing for OJ. I know he gets shitloads of abuse and that is crap, but his point on this post was that seemingly 'normal people' can become so 'radicalised' by GC feminists that they will start randomly posting abuse. No love, she has been hacked by a total idiot.

Lynnthesearesexnotgenderpeople · 22/05/2022 18:35

Her employer has now seen this and has said they are going to start an investigation. Oh my god the poor woman if she has been hacked, fuck!

DrudgeJedd · 22/05/2022 18:53

Oh god, I hope she's ok.
He's a bloody menace to women.

DrudgeJedd · 22/05/2022 19:07

I've just counted about 30 tweets to her employer in the last hour calling for her to be sacked/investigated/reported to the police.
Well done Owen.

Lynnthesearesexnotgenderpeople · 22/05/2022 19:17

Her account is locked now, not long after her employer said they would look into it. It's pretty obvious she was hacked, they have obviously contacted her and told her what has happened. Poor woman, she is probably now in bits about this.

Christ, what a cautionary tale! I have never linked my employer to any of my social media, even though I never write anything controversial on there. And thank god, because this shows what can happen, even if you are completely innocent.

I do however have a public Twitter which I use to follow one account (and read lots of others) and very occasionally post on there. I have never been worried about it because I post so rarely and so mundanely but now I am wondering if I should rethink, in case I get hacked or something.

I wonder if OJ is slowly realising what he has potentially done here.....

PurgatoryOfPotholes · 22/05/2022 19:40

He's absolutely convinced he's in the right and it couldn't have been anything else other than genuine.

Which is odd, because a few.months back his pal Laurie Penny got hacked and spent a day or so tweeting about selling a spare games console.

PurgatoryOfPotholes · 22/05/2022 19:59

I hope Janet is paying attention.
As a result of Owen posting information on the twitter account's past tweets (which was not anonymous before its user stopped using it last year), his followers have identified the account, contacted the official owner's employer, and posted extracts from her CV.

And all this, despite that we don't know that it was her who sent the messages, and the circumstantial evidence suggests it wasn't. The situation very much looks like a standard hacking!
