Stonewall are in parliament today lobbying MPs about transgender conversion therapy.

Please do email your MP and let them know your views.

They can't even define 'transgender' in law; so I don't see how they can ban transgender conversion therapy.

Yes- and that's why stonewall are there. They want to define it, and get gender identity written into law.

The Telegraph are reporting that the Conversion Bill for queen's speech dies not include trans.

"Conversion Therapy Bill
The Conversion Therapy Bill will criminalise non-physical conversion therapies that are designed to change a person’s sexual orientation, and give courts new powers to protect those deemed at risk from this practice.

This will protect all under-18s, plus any over-18 who does not consent to conversion therapy. Trans conversion is not included."

So what are Stonewall doing today, trying to get an amendment? I don't know how it works

Yes. Stonewall will be hoping to convince MPs to table an amendment to the bill to include transgender people. And to get transgender identity onto the statute book.

Will write, though my MP rarely responds. Might do it by post this time.

I did, and got the standard Lib Dem party line in response 🤷🏻‍♀️
