I spent a while looking at his tweets and YouTube's a few weeks back and decided he's having a great time drawing attention to how unreasonable things have got with regards to identities.

He's spending a fortune on plastic surgery to look Korean, and making a lot of money from this online I think. But his whole approach feels very tongue in cheek.

For someone who claims to be Kor/ean I didn't get the impression he was all that serious about learning the language or culture. It's all about being the most shocking and newsworthy as he can be.

Good to see his latest stand with jkr, even if it's just because it will get attention. He's a very interesting person. And I hope he continues to make people think about this subject more.

So do you guys think he's actually had the "Korean" surgery? Everything he says sounds like pure satire, like Titania McGrath, but I've not heard it suggested that he hasn't actually spent £000s going under the knife? No idea how he would afford it, anyway. So I wonder if it is a huge fake, with him just having touched up some photos and called it surgery...

The uncertainty over whether there has been a surgical change, the actual change being that of appearance, and the reliance on stereotypes, certainly does remind me of something.

I'm wary of their motives. I don't know that it's positive for the GC movement to have the support of a 'transracial' troll/satirist/performance artist.

It was always obvious what Titania was and their motivation.

He is funny. I was 👀👀🙄 when I first heard about him. I'm starting to find him interesting now.

He was on one of those "Extreme Plastic Surgery" shows that is on one of the TLC channels a couple of years ago. So he's not purely an internet character like Titiana. Up until this weekend I assumed he was a very mentally unwell person. But he's obviously an extreme troll.

It feels as though he started on a journey to get the BTS look. Realised it wasnt going to happen, and he was actually arriving somewhere unexpected. Had a serious rethink.... and started to play with the ridiculousness of it all. But time will tell.

I really hope he understands the risks of what he's doing. As body mod goes, he's moved into Ken doll/Michael Jackson territory. I hope he knows how to stop.

Glad it's not just me who is confused by him..I saw his JKR tweets yesterday and couldn't work out what he was doing. (Other than garnering lots of attention and therefore money).

I think it's probably performance art but then if he has had all that surgery for real then it could be mental illness. Maybe it's both?
