It seems that with the change to British cycling stance surrounding males entering woman's races, there has been a movement of males from triathlon to running.

At the weekend a male identified as female and won a significant race and broke records.

I am astonished a sports organisation will accept that males can change sex to female. I thought that sports above any other area of society would understand the advantages that Males have though childhood and as they grow to adulthood.

Women's sport is over

Which race OP?

334bu · 05/05/2022 21:01

Any details please?

PermanentTemporary · 05/05/2022 21:01

Unless it's a deadly secret, perhaps you could provide details?

maeveiscurious · 05/05/2022 21:18

Okay probably not a prominent race but significant to those who have trained and worked hard in their age range.

It's fairly evident from the results. It also spells a change in athletics and those who are coming through

Could you give details of the race please? It would allow scrutiny of the sport and their policy if we had more details.

As an aside, British Triathlon said they were going to revisit their trans inclusion after the Sports Council guidance was released last year.

Any further details?

LaPufalina · 06/05/2022 12:47

I'd be interested too, I'm a UKA affiliated runner.

WorkingItOutAsIGo · 06/05/2022 13:31

Why is it so secret? What’s your issue with telling us?

NerrSnerr · 06/05/2022 13:34

Which race OP? Many people within athletics are against trans women competing in women's events and I haven't heard anything about this. Surprised no one has mentioned it on the I was or am a runner FB page as this issue is often discussed on there.

The weekend just been had the London 10k, BUCS and there was a Race Walking comp I think. Can't remember any other big events but may have missed them.

I followed BUCS so don't think it's that and Eilish McColgan won the 10k
