I was reading about South Korean radfems who don’t date, have sex, marry or have children with men.

They sounded really cool.

It made me wonder if there are other women/feminist who have made similar choice?

I think lots of women have made this choice through history though not always as a conscious feminist choice, but in a “men aren’t for me” way. Women could enter a convent or become a spinster in the past (though of course some of them would actually have been having lesbian relationships secretly).

I have a relative who’s now very old who never wanted a man or kids and spent her life single, mainly travelling. She’s a feminist and told me when she was very young she went on a date with a man and just realised she wasn’t up for it, ever, walked away and never dated again.

Also I think women often realise later in life that it’s a mug’s game and see just how misogynist society is, but don’t see that when they’re younger and starry-eyed about marriage, want kids etc. I’ve had a LTR and kids, now I’m single in my 50s I don’t mind if I never have a man again but it’s easy for me to say that having got what I wanted when I was young.
