Loopytiles, the comment in question was a direct quote in the article from a mother with a 16 year old daughter who is on the Tavistock referral list. This is the full quote:

“I consented to my daughter’s Tavistock referral because I trusted the NHS, and believed that the clinic would take an exploratory approach.

“Now, I worry that her self-diagnosis of gender dysphoria will lead to irreversible treatments she may later regret.

“My daughter’s school introduced her to the concept of gender identity, but kept the contents of lessons and presentations by activists secret. Then, they changed her name and pronouns without our consent.

“If a teenage girl who was lesbian is now a straight male, is it not the case that she underwent gay conversion therapy at school?”

She's not a "straight male" anyway though is she...
People attracted to straight males (i.e. heterosexual females) aren't attracted to people with a vagina.....

This whole gender ideology clapcrap needs to be ditched asap.

Basketet · 02/05/2022 12:28

Yep. That is conversion therapy. 40 years ago when my gender non-conforming friend came out as lesbian no one assumed, told her or tried to make her think she must therefore be male.

It's batshit crazy.

doublemonkey · 02/05/2022 17:38

Yes, absolutely.

If they'd bothered to listen to lesbians years ago everyone would know this.

Dinosauria · 02/05/2022 18:42

Apologies about the paywall, I'm so used to clicking aeroplane mode every time I click a telegraph link I forget its a paywall.

Circumferences of course I agree with you but I thought it interesting within the topic of conversion therapy.

yup...

Yes it is conversion 'therapy' (the word therapy being defined in loose terms like transactivists want it to be). Take a homosexual woman, apply transgenderism, and she becomes straight.

Which is why whistleblowers at the Tavistock we're worried that there would be 'no gay people left'.
