School have said that DC's class is to start relationship education in phse. It looks like it's offered by FPA and has content related to introducing stereotypes with Yasmine and Tom. I can't get access to the actual materials though so was wondering if anyone had any knowledge of the stance they take on stereotypes and gender issues. Obviously I'm very happy for ds to learn (more) about the unjust nature of stereotypes but I don't want him being told that wanting to wear pink makes him a girl. He's in year 2.

I don’t know but there’s a downloadable guide to how Yasmine and Tom fits in with DfE guidelines. It’s also written by teachers and the website makes very limited reference to identity issues.

Are you in England? If so then the school should be following this:

www.gov.uk/guidance/plan-your-relationships-sex-and-health-curriculum

"You will need to decide the outline of your curriculum and consult with parents and carers on the policy before finalising it."
It also has to be kept under review in consultation with parents.

On the providers:

"You should also conduct a basic online search (as parents and carers may do this). It is important that anything you or parents and carers would be concerned about is addressed beforehand."

That link is worth looking through

Ask the school when the consultation with parents is happening OP? Sadly the FPA (like all the education organisations are captured by the trans lobby) BUT, they are professionals in the SRE field, they will be aware of the scrutiny of the "born in the wrong body" gaslighting of children and they do understand the issue of age appropriateness.
I'd be cautiously optimistic (hope I'm not wrong)
