Does anyone belong to a union that’s supportive of women’s sex based rights?

Thanks

Affinity are a union that have experience of representing teachers (though not a teaching union as such). Affinity is apolitical. so no woke issues presumably including gender issues. From memory they are cheaper than most teaching unions too.

There is also Edapt which is a specialist legal advice service for teachers, not an actual union. Again no politics.

Similarly there is the Free Speech Union - which whilst not standing up for women's rights at least stands up for women having their own views about them. They backed Lisa Keogh. though the word union is in their name they are not legally speaking a union. However you could join Affinity at a discounted rate via your Free Speech Union membership at one point.

No, I’m SLT and in NAHT. They are not at all good on this issue but I feel like I need to be with them in case I ever need support in a leadership context.

I am an NEU Rep and the answer is no.

I don't understand why anyone is still in the main teaching unions as they seem nuts on almost every issue. I understand why teachers need to be in a union but why not move to Affinity if you don't like your union's politics?
