Our academy is getting TIE (Time for Inclusive Education) in to deliver a workshop on Understanding Prejudice. I am wary but the weds it doesn't give much away. Does anyone know what it includes?

Just had a look at their website:
Just as young people can learn about the Civil Rights Movement and figures like Dr Martin Luther King Jr and Rosa Parks to foster an understanding of racism, learning about significant events from LGBT history like the uprising at the Stonewall Inn in 1969, or people like Sally Ride and Lynn Conway, can develop an understanding of homophobia, biphobia, and transphobia, and associated issues like discrimination and stereotyping.

One of the people who oversees this charity is Councillor Rhiannon Spear. She is firmly in the TWAW camp.

Oh, Rhiannon's quit politics. I hope she takes a bit of time to think over some of her past behaviour.

Reading that further, I see she says she had death threats. That's obviously unacceptable.

Anyway, sorry for the tangent, OP. TIE are not a group I'd want coming to a school. I have tried to search for threads - but their acronym is lost in lots of noise about school ties - I know they've been discussed on here before.

I have no doubt it follows the Scottish Governments idolatry of gender idiology. But the website gives very little away - I suspect on purpose. Which is why I wandered if anyone knows what it actually covers?
