Obviously threatening violence on anyone is wrong but it’s notable that this man gets charged yet the thousands of threats to women go uninvestigated.

Yep. It’s almost like the police are misogynists who aren’t interested in violence against women 🧐 But if someone tweets an insult at a footballer, jail time for that!!

KittenKong · 28/04/2022 07:40

That’s right. Threats to politicians, telly folk, footballers and pop stars seem to get the gold star treatment. The most serious threats to women might get looked at if they have time.

Ribbons are a much worse threat than actual rape and death threats though. It’s hateful to think otherwise.

Itscalledmisogyny · 30/04/2022 22:06

It's not weird. It's misogyny. Institutional misogyny. In the police.

Nothing weird about it. It's about male power, and the use of a patriarchal institution to shore it up.

MrsOvertonsWindow · 30/04/2022 22:50

Institutional misogyny plus a good dose of institutional capture by an ideology hostile to women.
