Half way through; he's bang on about how children are seeing this.
I'm in various teacher groups and all are describing friendship groups, mostly girls, all identifying as trans in some sort of capacity together. I was told of a group who came back after the Easter break last week all non binary (Scotland.) to me, this year, the anecdotes are flooding in compared to the previous 5-6 years I've been very aware of all this.
I know of parents who have teens who say you just can't be "cis" or straight.
He's also bang on about how this is getting in by the back door. I've been moaning about it for ages; there's so many books now, a teacher can just choose to read them to the class as reading is the Big Focus for Ofsted now.
No one would know (as in curriculum leads and the slt) unless the children told parents and the parents complained- but certainly my own 9 yr old son rarely discusses what he's done at school.
All teachers have or share a twinkl account. Twinkl is captured. So are the teaching groups. It's become "fact" via word of mouth.
I'm glad Konstantin said "what we said would happen is happening" re detransitioners. Well, not glad, but pleased they've recognised the magnitude of the issue.
@triggerpod thank you for this piece (hope that's the right name!)
