This is a great idea. To easily share with your kids' schools...

Great idea

That's a very comprehensive overview. Hopefully it will give schools the confidence to resist the extreme demands made by the adult lobby groups seeking to influence what happens to children.

SmiledWtherisingsun · 26/04/2022 08:36

Please share as widely as possible!

Nice. Thank you. I'm dealing with this at DS' secondary school at the moment so that's helpful.

Clymene · 26/04/2022 08:51

That's a really good guide shall send to my school.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 26/04/2022 10:39

Excellent guidance, and easy to send.

viques · 26/04/2022 13:09

Excellent, clearly written, sympathetic to the issues but setting out the legal knowledge that schools need so that they can back up their decisions when they are faced with those who put feelings above facts.

I hope all the schools who proudly display their Stonewall Brainwash logo will be sent copies.

Point 5.2 - name and pronoun changes

makes a really good point regarding not informing parents of name and pronoun changes at school (their bold):

Not applying the normal standard of safeguarding to children who identify as trans is discrimination because of gender reassignment.

cornflakegirl · 26/04/2022 14:41

Thank you - the guide looks really good. Have sent it to our schools.

nothingcomestonothing · 27/04/2022 11:03

Done! Only last week another parent told me the school had changed a 12 year old student's name and pronouns without speaking to their parents. The Stonewalling in schools will take a while to undo.

Cuck00soup · 27/04/2022 15:39

Brilliant. DD's school hasn't done anything too bonkers yet, but I have book marked the link just in case.

Iknowitisheresomewhere · 27/04/2022 16:16

Bumping this - over 50 sent to schools so far - I am sure we can increase this significantly!

tableandchairsgreen · 27/04/2022 17:45

Great ! Will send dcs school

FemaleAndLearning · 27/04/2022 18:39

Up to 58 now! Really easy to do. You just need the name of headteacher and email address at the ready.

SmiledWtherisingsun · 27/04/2022 19:59

Great!
Thanks everyone.
Keep sharing Smile

Thank you to the groups doing this. It seems that there have already been so many schools affected by misinterpretation of the Equality act, as seen here on various boards and threads. Why should we have to fight this dangerous ideology school by school? But we do.

stimpyyouidiot · 27/04/2022 22:06

Hope a parent sends it to where I work
