Kacey arrived at Waterloo Road and quickly realised she had gender identity issues. She is seen binding her chest with bandages and seems to experience some form of gender dysphoria. She is helped through this by Tom Clarkson and Nikki Boston. Her brother Barry Barry didn't accept the situation and acted violently towards her when he found out. Her mother did not understand, so Dynasty Barry was the only family member that supported her through this. For a short time, she used the name Robbie, before deciding to detransition and think more on her gender identity when she is older.

There's a character called Barry Barry? Was he christened in an echo chamber?

The way things seem to be nowadays. I'm surprised the BBC haven't burnt it, salted the ground it stood on and denied it ever existed.

I remember it well. Kacey wanted to play football but there wasn't a girls team and she was too old to play on the boys team.

It was a good storyline overall I think.

As a massive Waterloo Road fan, i remember it well.

It was well done. TC and the sister both played a pivotal role in reminding Kacey it was OK to be whatever he/she/they wanted to be. Ultimately I think she de transitioned.
