So encouraging to see that every single comment is pointing out the idiocy. I used to really respect ACAS for their impartial, expert advice. Gone downhill in recent years and this is the pits.

In that response, ACAS acknowledges that removing titles from emails has been beneficial for women. And yet for some reason they think we should replace this with other wording that has the same negative impact on us?

Why does ACAS think we need to know the "gender" of people we work with?

It's all about the supposed benefits to people with trans identities, but you know what? Those people aren't the centre of the universe and I'm not their mum. My job isn't to make my colleagues feel better about themselves, my job is to do my job.
