I suppose if you want power you use and may abuse its current form for your own ends. There are, after all, examples of leaders/parties who got themselves democratically elected and then undermined or abolished democracy.

I really hope his local party are looking into deselecting him. The odious man has nine lives, that tweet should have been the end of him, but then the fines being announced for Johnson and his mates on the same day .. he dropped right off the news agenda.

Crispin Blunt definitely looks like the High Inquisitor. Just has one of those faces.

His principal purpose seems to be Men Getting Their Own Way (MGTOW). There's a ferocious and fanatical selfishness about it. Not confined to him, either.
