I am familiar with some of the distortions around this topic.

I don't consider them to be worthy of respect as a component of an evidence-based discussion.

Overdramatic while also factually incorrect twice in 15 words.... unfortunately this is now so much par for the course that people are getting immune.

It's never rainy but it's a torrential, lifethreatening storm devastating the community. (Mrs Johnson up the road got a bit damp.)

I needed to cancel my Times subscription - times are hard- so I called them up and I was surprised that I had been subscribing for over a year, and only read one article a month I think - but they offered me a discount and I told the customer service man, I'll do it because you put JKR on the front page!

They don't understand the EA 2010 and don't appear to even know about the Human Rights Act 1998. So much angst could be avoided if they didn't treat Twitter outrage as fact.

I need new glasses so my first reading of the thread title was "JK and the gulag".
