Good article. I am pleased that some men notice.

That's an excellent article - wide ranging and comprehensive.

Furries · 11/04/2022 13:59

Was very pleased to see him include the vile comments made by Ivy.

MamaSaidTheredBeDaysLikeThis · 11/04/2022 14:12

Yes it was a good article. And good to know he’s had a positive response for speaking out.

Linguini · 11/04/2022 18:00

The daily mail are SO on this.
It's reassuring that they'll also be reaching American, Australian and Canadian readers who really need to be informed on this issue as other news outlets are so woeful.

Yes this. I get tired of the knee jerk anti DM reaction from some sections of MN and general society. The DM are so so on this subject.
DoubleYouOhEmAyEn · 11/04/2022 19:27

Refreshing to see a national news agency covering the appalling treatment of women with speak out. Thank you DM, and thank you Dominic Lawson

MoltenLasagne · 11/04/2022 19:34

Very glad that McKinnon's disgusting comments were quoted, it shows exactly the quality of argument we're facing.

FOJN · 11/04/2022 19:36

It's great the Mail cover this issue, typically the articles are written tabloid style (I'm not complaining) but this was very well done and would not have been out of place in The Times. Dominic Lawson didn't miss any opportunity to cram in a relevant example of the abuse and injustice women are on the receiving end of.

ResisterRex · 11/04/2022 20:42

I thought this was a great article. I don't mind the tabloid style as when it's done well, it keeps you reading and absorbing what's on the page. Pretty much commenting so as to bump this because I thought it was such a good and clear article

Fizbosshoes · 12/04/2022 09:21

Totally not the point but for what reason has Rachel McKinnon (presumably not their original name) changed to Veronica Ivy? Confused

Dimenw · 12/04/2022 09:33

@Fizbosshoes maybe to distance themself from their comment that GC women should die in a grease fire?

Linguini · 12/04/2022 09:37

They changed their name shortly after losing their job and tenure, which was shortly after celebrating the death of MB.
They obviously realise that if you Google 'Rachel McKinnon' a lot of "controversial" (I'm being polite) things come up in the results. For example
this article.

MamaSaidTheredBeDaysLikeThis · 12/04/2022 09:39

Another factor someone mentioned was that if people just use the surname then they could be male or female, so they went for two female names so there’s always a female name being used. Because that’ll convince everyone Hmm

Igmum · 12/04/2022 09:43

Yes well done Daily Mail (not something I thought I'd be saying but there you go)
