Polmont was a YOI, but now is housing women while a new women's prison is being built.

Yes, surely if they can identify as a woman and thus get transferred to a female prison, by the same logic if they identify as a child below the age of criminal responsibility, they should get released?

And I keep thinking, what is there to stop people saying, I identify as a cat and therefore do not have to pay any bills?

Kids in YOI have been fucked enough by their parents- they dont need this person adding to the mix.

Polmont is/was a YOI (for males). There is now a small population of females within it.

The next step will be identifying as someone who doesn't accept the rulings amd sentencing of the UK justice system - then they can avoid prison altogether!
