Not sure if this has been posted before but I was very heartened to see this clear, unequivocal framing of the Sex question when making an enquiry on the NHS 111 App.

I have no idea how long this version has been up. Am hoping it reflects a renewed focus within the NHS on biological sex rather than gender identity.

Well, I suppose it's a step in the right direction.

But it's not just the person's "sex at birth". It's just their "sex", for their whole life. Because no-one can change sex. As anyone involved in medicine knows full well, even if they pretend otherwise.

I noticed this quite a while ago, and my own GP online service has the same question.

I also noticed on the screen in the GP waiting room (while waiting for my smear test) a rolling advert for cervical screening which only referred to women and all of the accompanying images were only women but presenting in a variety of gender conforming and non confirming ways.

If you don't see an option that represents you, you are not human and should phone your mothership for advice

Common sense.
