Tara Hewitt who holds a senior position within the NHS, is advising CEOs, Chief medical officers and others within the NHS to blatantly ignore new guidance from EHRC regarding single sex provision of services. Claiming it is transphobic. This will not end well...the NHS is there to serve all of us, not just males and their identities. The fact they feel emboldened to do this publicly on twitter is shocking.

I seem to remember a rather surprising video presentation by Tara Hewitt some time ago. I'm sure someone here will be able to remember it fully.

Yes, both in middle of current Employment Tribunals. Last week an expert witness described Dr Mike Webberley's treatment of patients as a 'failure of humanity' .

Hewitt is trans so wouldn't that be a conflict of interest?

Yes a complete conflict of interest! Setting a dangerous precedent for women and children, denying them a safe single sex space....

The Ockenden report clearly details the dangers that happen to women and babies when medics are in the grip of an ideology (natural birth at all costs).The interim report from the Cass Review has already documented the lack of evidence, data and experimental nature of health care for vulnerable gender confused children with activists having a significant impact on health care.
Yet here we are with the NHS employing at great cost, individuals with a vested self interest in an ideology, promoting behaviour that poses risks to women and children.

Having just gone down a Twitter rabbit hole briefly, I wouldn’t want to share an NHS ward with Tara or with Tara’s partner.

Ms Hewitt is quite right. The latest 'guidance' from the EHRC is dangerous nonsense, not compliant with the EqA, or the Statutory Code of Conduct. Following it would risk service providers or employers acting unlawfully.
