Trans women athletes aren't disadvantaged by competing against men. I would cheer my heart out for a tw swimmer in the mens races, becausethat person would have the courage to be their real self in every way - wearing a womens swimsuit, identifying as a woman, but recognising that they are a biological man. Why is that a problem?

Another ridiculous article. The circa 190 comments are all against the author btw. Someone called her a handmaiden. The best comment for me is ‘Great article, better placed in the Beano’.

This might be the first social justice movement I can think of where the new oppressed minority demanding inclusion is actually the more privileged group in terms of its underlying characteristics (body advantages in this case) than the majority it wants to be included in.

Maybe they compete with the women but times etc are against the men...
For years there has always been doping all sorts of cheating and this is just the new one.
Average height 5'4 vs 5 '10. Cannot be undone by lowered T.
Even something as minor as being brought up a boy and playing more football. Prioritising womens sport from primary age more funding etc might then allow a slight smaller difference.
In primary mixed teams how much of a team are girkls even if they are often taller than the boys?

Could you please explain how that works in sports with limited places? Where only a set number go through to finals etc.

Oh I've got such bad second-hand embarrassment from that!

I wonder if they will do a piece on how it is immoral to deny working class Scousers Mancs or Brummies a working chance in their news room?

Well, if that is an example of the argument for transwomen inclusion in female sports categories I think we can crack open the champagne now because I have heard more persuasive arguments from four year olds who are desperate to stay up to see Santa.

She'll be saying next that sportswomen should all roll over and apologise for their 'cis-dom' too, and their unfair entitlement to access women's sports!

It's immoral and a massive betrayal on the sports authorities behalf to completely change the goalposts for actual women and girls who have spent their lives working hard and playing by the rules in order to compete.

It's simple, however kind we can be we can't escape the truth: trans women are and always will be a subset of men and shouldn't be in women's sports.
