Rosie Duffield stands up again

Fluffymule · 02/04/2022 12:36

Rosie Duffield has come out to publicly support the 'Respect My Sex' campaign.

Rosie Duffield

Let's hope her steadfast integrity in supporting Women's rights, and refusal to bow down to the bullies, inspires some of her colleagues in the Labour Party to find their spines and do the right thing too.

Labour have got a lot of reversing to do before they become a safe party for women to join and vote for. Their treatment of Rosie has been shameful - I mean only the other day I heard Starmer say "biology matters" when that's what Rosie's been saying all along. Confused

SpinningTheSeedsOfLove · 02/04/2022 13:47

She's put up with so much shit for telling the truth and talking sense. The Labour Party should be opposing the wholesale misogyny in its ranks but seems to have embraced it, leaving the Tories looking like the fucking good guys ffs.

Starmer has massively fucked up here.

Neverreturntoathread · 02/04/2022 13:53

Rosie Duffield worked out what the right position on this issue was years ago, and has since steadfastly and bravely held to what she believes, despite horrific bullying from activists and misogynists, including some of her colleagues.

She is one of the few true leaders within the Labour party. Unfortunate, really, that the official leader doesn’t seem to know his own mind on anything.

Rosie Duffield for Labour leader!

Rosie you are awesome I wish you were my MP 😍

Campervan69 · 02/04/2022 14:25

Rosie is amazing. Starmer is a complete prick. He's clueless. Nice but dim in a dangerous way.

OhHolyJesus · 02/04/2022 14:44

Rosie has been standing for so long someone should get her a chair so she can tap out and sit down.

I will never forgive Starmer for his cowardice.

lifelast · 02/04/2022 15:07

I will never forgive Starmer for his cowardice

This. And his intellectual incoherence. A woman is an adult human female and a transwomen. Someone should explain to Starmer how categorisation works and then ask him what the commonalities are between those two groups that they both come into the category of 'woman' and watch him splutter his way through that.

FrancescaContini · 02/04/2022 15:14

I ❤️ Rosie too. I lost every ounce of respect for/interest in KS when he announced that “it’s not true to say only women have a cervix.” Spectacular own goal.

Rosie not just for Labour leader but PM, please!

KitchenDancefloor · 02/04/2022 15:58

Well done Rosie.

She is a local MP and there is a write up in our regional rag:

www.kentonline.co.uk/canterbury/news/mp-calls-for-clear-biological-definition-of-the-sexes-264944/

The comments so far are a mix of 'well she's just stating the bleeding obvious' and cut and paste obfuscations about intersex people.

Do feel free to join in!

IsadoraQuagmire · 02/04/2022 16:09

Good for Rosie. Keir Starmer is an inarticulate embarrassment.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Rosie Duffield.
You continue to hold strong for us
