Thank goodness, I was really worried about this getting through because it’s a conscience vote and there is such a large Tory majority in the Commons. Some MPs don’t seem to grasp that they can perfectly legitimately not want to have an abortion themselves, or even disapprove of those who do, but that they should also not vote to stop women who need an abortion, from having it as early and safely as possible.

That’s brilliant. I hadn’t heard about this until I read the thread on here, so I signed the petition and emailed my MP. Hope he voted the right way!

What a relief. My MP was on the fence but I emailed him a heartfelt letter (I do actually know him) and he voted in favour of keeping it.

I've just thanked him.
