If TWAW and TMAM and you aren't allowed to ask intrusive questions about people's birth sex etc. How does diversity hiring work? Presumably a trans person would not count as a minority if you accepted they were the gender they said they were (unless they were also covered by another diversity category).
Diversity quotas (20%)are being introduced for contracts by the big employer in DHs industry so it could come up.

And obviously if they were happy to describe themselves as trans doesn't that mean that they aren't really the same as women?

Transgender women are women, therefore they’re counted as women. If a company has to have eg 20% women, 100% of their staff could have been born male/have penises, as long as 20% now identify as women they meet the quota.

I’m not sure what would happen in cases such as the person who identifies as a man half the week and a woman the other half of the week, are the company fined the days he’s a man? I don’t k ow what the consequences are for not meeting quotas so I’m unsure.

Also I know of some cases where people have tried to identify as black/Korean/disabled/another age, I’m not sure how those cases ended up but soon a lot of companies could easy meet any quotas!
