Lush Campaign

Just see this picture of Lush cosmetics campaign on twitter. A banner in the window of the shop saying 'Trans Children Belong'.

Other than it is a nonsensical sentence, I'm pretty pissed off to see a high street store normalising the medicalisation of children. Normalising irreversible damage to children.

Weirdly enough, a company who is anti-animal testing, but alluding to supporting the testing of experimental off the label medicine to young people.

Anyway, if any other concerned parent and customer of Lush wishes to feedback on this, here is the customer services email:

A company that bills itself as 'natural' pushing something that most certainly is not - going against a child's natural growth and development and instead putting them in the clutches of big pharma and en route to plastic surgery.

PurgatoryOfPotholes · 29/03/2022 22:36

That's an American branch according to the twitter thread.

bonfireheart · 29/03/2022 22:39

They like jumping on bandwagons and what is "trendy".

They've been captured for some time. Their quality isn't as good now either. When they started I really liked some of their stuff, but they stopped making those and the range got more glittery and synthetic

Moodlesofnoodles · 29/03/2022 22:59

They used to have great soap in big blocks and other fun stuff. That was their USP. Seems to have disappeared. Not sure what the point is.

Hasselhoffsheadband · 29/03/2022 23:00

Wasn't it Lush that was giving out binders to kids with absolutely no gatekeeping whatsoever?

One particular branch. The Paddington one, IIRC

I think the upping of the scent and glitter as a product to coincide with the promotion of this ideology to mainly teen girls is no accident. Call me cynical.

We’re going to need a bigger sticker!
