'Gender studies' and 'queer studies' have played a huge role in what they call 'queering the gender binary', but they have managed to do it while doing precisely nothing to break down the sex binary.
Transwomen rise up the corporate echelons as 'marginalised women', winning awards and - I would assume - keeping their male pay rises (and their bodies) intact, while transmen are encouraged to prostitute themselves in the woods and pay privately for (mostly male) surgeons to do unnecessary procedures on their secondary sexual characteristics.
It's not queering anything, is it?
