Gaslighting or is it part of the othering of women?

I just want to share this youtube reply.

someone asked about transmen in mens sport.

someone replied with this list of names.
Kye Allums, Shuyliar Bailar, Mack Beggs, Harrison Brown, Balian Buschbaum, Willy De Bruyn, Keelin Godsey, Zdenek Koubek, Andreas Krieger, Patricio Manuel, Chris Mosier.

Now I have not googled them all I got fed up after the first 5, but they where all transmen whom compete in womens sport, or who competed in womens sport before transitioning.

Are TRAs deliberately missing the point to gaslight? are they complete idiots who dont understand what the issues are?

I think idiot, interested what others make of it, as thats what I would call shooting yourself in the foot and proving how misogynistic sports are.

The former, probably. They absolutely do not care about biological women at all. Indeed, quite a few individual trans activists seem to be openly misogynistic. That saw about someone identifying AS a woman really does not mean that they identify WITH women.

but the question was about transmen competing in mens sport.

the reply proved the point, there isnt any, its all one way. I would have assumed the person listing names was GC but I have read their previous replies and think they were trying to do it as a gotcha without any understanding of what the point was.

honestly its too illogical to me.

I think it depends a bit on how the people answering interpreted the question.

Is it possible they misunderstood and thought it was just about transmen who were involved in sports? Based on how the question was worded - lots of people don't read carefully, either, especially online.

If that seems unlikely, it might just be lies, but I also would say that the individuals might have just googled a list without really checking up on it. That seems common among the kinds of people that get into this sort of activism, and I don't think it's all a put on.

Sorry, I misunderstood you. There are trans men competing in men's sports, but in almost all of the events they are extremely unlikely to get to the podium.

This means that they are not getting the sports stipends or the academic scholarships which in at least some countries are given to those who place high in some event. So men, as a biological sex, have little to fear from their sports becoming 'inclusive,' just as men, as a biological sex, have very little to fear from any of the demands of the transgender movement, given that they are entirely focused on women as a biological sex.

This allows male writers to side with the 'right side of history' in their articles. It doesn't cost them anything.

Is that closer to your point?

Mack Beggs is an interesting example of somebody who wanted to compete with male wrestlers but wasn't permitted to do this.

Beggs is transitioning from female to male and taking a low dose of testosterone.

It was Beggs' steroid therapy treatments while wrestling girls that stirred a fierce debate about competitive fairness and transgender rights last season…

Beggs had asked to wrestle in the boys' division, but the rules for Texas public high schools require athletes to compete under the gender on their birth certificate.

Beggs is arguing for transgender girls to be able to compete with girls and women as the flipside of Beggs drive to compete with boys and men.

Beggs spoke to Yahoo News as 30 states have introduced bills this year that would ban transgender girls from competing on girls' sports teams in public high schools. The Save Women’s Sports Act would also require transgender boys to participate in girls' sports. Overall in 2021, the highest number of anti-transgender bills in U.S. history have been filed, according to research by the Human Rights Campaign.
