Feeling totally demoralised local group

So a woman posted on a local Facebook group that she felt worried when as a women there was a guy down an alleyway and he spoke to her albeit good morning on the way past and said she felt frightened etc but the poor guy hadn’t done anything wrong - but she felt worried going out down a snicket on her own. People jumped all over her. She was pointing out how she felt and openly said the man hadn’t done anything etc . People jumped all over her - She was crazy, mad - poor bloke etc

I pointed out some stats and that we are wired to think like that- eg …. Percentage of us experience sexual assault world wide etc - blokes don’t worry about walking home alone - women do etc - I have literally been bombarded with posts calling me a man hater, a witch, pms to my phone etc posters openingly mocking me. I’m deranged etc

Posts about violence against men is a massive issue etc as
Well it’s not a gender issue, comments about women need to get over themselves as not all men are like that - I’ve been called foul names etc and 90% of these posters are …..WOMEN

When will it ever stop. I can’t even respond as the commenting is turned off. I don’t think I even said anything controversial but clearly I did …

That's really awful. People clearly love judging others. On our local Facebook a martial arts teacher said he was thinking of offering some self-defence classes. I asked if there'd be a women only group, focusing on the male/female strength imbalance. A random man responded that a man would get hell if he asked for a men only group, and that it was outrageous of me to ask for a women only one just because women are weaker. Thankfully the martial arts guy responded strongly - saying that the group would be women only so that women could relax and focus on self defence without sexist behaviour from the men.

People can be in vicious denial that is an insight into their own discomfort when asked to confront reality.

Of course they knew what you were talking about and that it was aun understandable, rational reaction.

They are fools.

People on Facebook don't seem to have anything to do. Don't they have like, proper jobs and stuff? Why all this hectoring women? Losers and incels is what you get basically.
Better off being offline really. Speak to real friends.
