Apparently adults can declare themselves, and toddlers, to be whatever sex they wish. (Times)

Yeah am just going to make up stuff when I get my form. Fuck em

DoucheCanoe · 20/03/2022 11:23

I submitted mine online on Friday and there were indeed "specific trans inclusive" questions when it came to identifying the sex of ourselves and our children if didn't identify as male/female.

I wonder what 22nd century folks will make of it?!

NutCheeseBag · 20/03/2022 11:27

The form also demands to know what your “national identity” is, British, English, etc. Answering for my 2 year old grandson I could only put Absolutely no idea.

OvaHere · 20/03/2022 11:31

Given how much the younger end skews towards girls identifying as boys they can probably expect significant cuts to the already woeful health services for women by the time they come of age.

"Why are there so few midwives in 2020 it's outrageous"

"Well our predictive data told us we wouldn't need them."

Scotland says put what you like as fact for census

I am completing the paper census and am so distressed that our government cares so little for accurate data. Who benefits from this dishonesty? Certainly not women who need accurate sex disaggregated data to address inequalities.

Artichokeleaves · 20/03/2022 12:00

If it's optional to put whatever you want regardless of actual fact, and the data is in fact therefore pointless, and the whole thing is just a massive and really terrible waste of everyone's time and taxpayer's money because the feels in the moment of filling it in matter but the data.... well whatevs?

Put whatever you like and you might as well have fun with it. Why stay nicely in a box and be a good girl and protect the majority of the data so other people can have freedoms you don't?

butnobodytoldme · 20/03/2022 12:27

It's supposed to be a crime to fill the thing in incorrectly. Nobody need search for logic in Scotland now, but to actually invite exactly that, on the form itself ??

Wonder if it's only some facts you can make up while others are a crime?

Or more likely it's only a crime for some people.

Can we have badges or something so we know? Are we designated special people with special rights and privileges or are we the 'do what you're told and shut up or else' people?
