Just like the women in the swim race, the original thread in AIBU on this subject has now been relegated and plonked in Feminism - Sex and gender discussions just as it was coming to the thread limit. Even though the thread-link still suggests it's an AIBU.

Never fear - I've created a new thread in AIBU in case anyone wanted to continue the conversation there!

It got a hell of a lot of traction whilst it was there. In the last few days that one has been trending as has the Maya thread and the hospital one. There have also been a couple of other threads in AIBU and chat. The most heartening thing for me has been posters I’ve never seen over here ripping the ever loving shit out of the “bigot, terf, liars” crew and they’ve done it with no nonsense and such knowledge. Never fear the genie is out of the bottle.

Although just noticed trans issues just sad and disappointed started off in chat and here it is on the naughty step.

I was about to say something similar on another thread. Holy crap, it's as if every single lurker has delurked and is absolutely furious. And they have clearly been paying serious attention to the discussion, evidence and history of this whole 'debate'.

After some dispiriting recent threads which were absolutely dominated by the 'you're all bigots' crowd, it has been phenomenal over the last couple of days and incredibly heartening.

That AIBU Transgender Swimmer thread was in and out of AIBU and here like a fiddler's elbow.

Seriously, MNHQ, sort this out if people outside this Board start threads in Chat and AIBU that is surely where they want them discussed, there are numerous threads in Chat and AIBU that could be shuffled off into the myriad other topics where they are more aligned but they are not.

So threads get started in The Good Bit of MN, then get moved over here to the Dark Side and lots more women end up reading the Forbidden Threads of FWR?

I've come to mumsnet to escape the centrist dad / woke bro / TRA contingent that has taken over another board (not feminism or trans related) I used to use. What is fun is that with their relentless hectoring on the subject they have basically peak transed every person who until a year or so ago was very much on board with TWAW etc. Massive backfire.

The best thing about here is that not everyone agrees on everything. Despite the opinion of those who monitor these threads with a view to close the debate down, usually the disagreements and discussion is allowed to stand.

I still dip in and out of this amazing resource and was a bit grumpy that the original thread got moved to FWR (not that this isn't an amazing space) at the very end of the discussion.

So I thought I'd better revive it where it was being discussed.
