Interesting read. I know it's from a Conservative site but it seems only the right are gender critical at the moment.

Still laughing at this clanger!

I don't think it's fair to box people in to societal roles by their chromosomes, their genitalia or their reproductive organs.

Yes.... I think we ALL agree!

(walks away muttering 'no shit Sherlock'!)

SamphiretheStickerist · 22/03/2022 12:24

Actually, skeletons are very difficult to sex reliably

No, that isn't what that article says. Read it again, get passed the title!

There seem to be a few cases of functional ovaries in XY people, but like someone said above. I don't think it's nice to use intersex people as a prop for arguing.

It is YOU who is the only one using other people's medical conditions as some kind of 'gotcha' for anything. It is you who is posting such drivel that is not supported by evidence.

That you cannot see just how offensive your posts are is really quite unbelievable.

JanetPluchinsky · 22/03/2022 12:33

For the second time in this thread I feel compelled to ask if I’m understanding you correctly, @ElaineFuchs.

You think it’s fine for trans ID men to get a (fictional) womb transplant for the sole purpose of having an abortion?

And you think objecting to that means being anti abortion?

You are either very young, very stupid or just plain trolling.

Helleofabore · 22/03/2022 12:36

JanetPluchinsky

There is another option to your options there. And that would be a particular group of male.

Apart from the utter repugnance there should be towards implanting a womb and foetus into a body not designed for either with the sole purpose of then aborting said foetus purely for the 'experience' it is yet more proof, if ever any were needed, of the fact that TW are men and cannot and never will be women, they don't have the first fucking clue about what it means to be one. No women on this planet has ever deliberately got pregnant in order to experience an abortion.
ElaineFuchs · 22/03/2022 15:08

If you actually believe that trans women are doing this or even want to do this then I don't know what to say... You're so blinded by bigotry and hatred that you swallow an obviously made up conspiricy theory

Erm, you might want to have a google around some specific medical sites Elaine

Such transplants are possible, woman to woman, and there have been quite a number of children born from a transplanted womb.

Transwoman Jessica Alves claims to have had a womb transplant and that many other transwomen have had one too! Personally IN know that this is a delusion, a lie, but hey! You aske dof transwomen were or wanted to do this! Look Them up!

Reseacrh papers have been written on the topic for a few years now, apparently it would be difficult but no impossible and would be done primarily motivated by the considerations of justice and equality.

www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6492192/

Just one example for you to have a look at. Maybe clear up your own world view a little bit!

JanetPluchinsky · 22/03/2022 15:18

Whether I believe it or not (and I’ve seen posts on Twitter saying that’s what they want to do, but I’m not saying it’s a mainstream want) I’m taking exception to your comment that if that’s what they wanted, that would be fine and dandy because you’re ‘pro choice’.

It’s grotesque and if your ideology means that’s the line you’re taking, it tells me all I need to know about it.

Quite. Way to dodge and backtrack on your earlier statement ElaineFuchs.
VestofAbsurdity · 22/03/2022 15:26

One very prominent TW claims to have a cervix, quite where they got it from is a mystery.

We've had a TRA on here rabbiting on about womb implants into males (TW) so they get the full experience of woman. It just proves how little you know of the side you are on, the side whose wants you are promoting unquestionably and you have the gall to criticise the GC side and what they stand for.

ElaineFuchs · 22/03/2022 15:31

@SamphiretheStickerist I'm talking about the fiction of trans women wanting to get abortions.

Womb transplants for trans women are a fantastic prospect for many I'm sure.

ElaineFuchs · 22/03/2022 15:33

@VestofAbsurdity I stand by my comment. It's not my place to police what other people do with their bodies.

SamphiretheStickerist · 22/03/2022 15:35

Then you need to read a few of the SM acounts that have been archived in many places. Including the ones that discuss the inequity of not being able to have an abortion or miscarriage, in various SM where women were seeking support after the loss of a child through abortion or miscarriage.

You see, regardless of what you trill on about, we are usually discussing something that has actually happened, has been discissed here before, with screenshots etc.

If it was a fiction it was one made up by a transwoman.

Birthing children is an important part of being a woman to many. In fact just this week a trans woman was shouted at nastily in public for not having birthed her children in a video by Posie Parker.

So they're not real mothers if they don't birth their children, but fetishists if they do?

Just to preempt any misinterpretation, I obviously don't believe that pregnancy or birth is a required characteristic of womanhood.

And you won't even blink when that means women removing their bodies from health services because Lo! a man has arrived!

DomesticatedZombie · 22/03/2022 15:38

A man can't be a mother. Only females can be mothers, that's what the term means.

SamphiretheStickerist · 22/03/2022 15:38

@ElaineFuchs do me a small favour?

Read you last post to yourself, out loud.

Did you snigger at the congnitive dissonance? I did!

I don't believe that happened. Short of being told in person by large numbers of trans women there's nothing that could convince me this is actually happening. Sorry.

Such an extraordinary claim requires some really compelling proof. More than just anonymous Internet comments. (not that we even have those in this thread)

It's not a fucking TRANSPLANT it's an IMPLANT into a body that is not designed for it.

The same as the hormones taken by TW are not REPLACEMENT hormones as they are not fucking replacing any hormones.

SamphiretheStickerist · 22/03/2022 15:43

And I don't believe men can become women. So nah!

You have told us so often that we should be mindful of the feelings, the beliefs of transwomen. They are who and what they say they are - unless of course what they say they are is ridiculous, untenable. Then we are witches for taking it seriously!

And I know you know which threads I refer to... Advanced Search is a wonderful thing, try it sometime!

It is you who has a weird take on reality. You who believes in impossible things. In giving away the rights of women to assuage the feelings of those impossible things.

I'm just posting to point out to anyone reading that your posting is competely and utterly bobbins.

.* In fact just this week a trans woman was shouted at nastily in public for not having birthed her children in a video by Posie Parker*
A male person who identified as a woman described themselves as a mother and this was chall mother and this was challenged. Said male person also called Posie a"dog"

I suggest you look up Professor Grace Lavery. I believe they are one of the most prominent.

^Just realized: someone alive today will become the first trans woman to get an abortion.
