KJK and American women speaking outside the White House

I haven't watched this yet, but thought I would put this here for anyone interested

I was watching this and was moved to tears by the speaker who was crying. I too have had to have a conversation with my child that I didn’t want to have and 5 years ago I wouldn’t have needed to. Well done to Kellie-Jay, Kara Dansky and all those that spoke and attended. x

Thanks for sharing

I watched it. The speaker was very moving. Good to hear voices from the US.

The woman who cried mentioned furries. If anyone is not familiar with this, have a quick read about. It is everywhere: Etsy, Twitter, Tumblr, YouTube Kids.

She also went to watch LT swim, though the video isn’t great.

It’s great to see her over there and brilliant speeches. I’m a bit surprised that Glinner made a dig about it but hey ho.

GrinitchSpinach · 17/03/2022 17:24

What did Glinner say?

HollowedOut · 17/03/2022 17:48

In reply to a photo of Posie Parker and Karen Davis hugging. Glinner and Karen Davis make no secret about how much they dislike each other but policing who Posie Parker associates with seems an overreach.

Thanks, HollowedOut. I agree with your take. I don’t know enough about their beef to understand it beyond the broad outline, but I am annoyed that that was his takeaway from this event, which was an open-mic type of thing anyway!

KJ hugged many of the women who stepped up to speak (very bravely in this atmosphere!) and she needn’t run her hug choices by anyone for approval.

I am American, and our country is SO vast, SO politically divided, and our media SO unwilling to report honestly (or even at all) on this issue that it is unbelievably hard to get people 1) informed and 2) organized to oppose the destruction of our rights. I am truly grateful for this event and for everyone taking action to bring attention to this in the US.

Women are being raped by male offenders in US prisons RIGHT NOW. US children are being sterilized RIGHT NOW. I want that to be the focus, not personality clashes.
