On a 90s music/pop culture page that I've had lots of perfectly pleasant interactions with before now.
They asked which artists/comedians you used to love but have been gone off due to their politics. I made a post about Eddie Izzard (quite a mild one imo 🤣). Got a few likes then one comment calling me transphobic and then my post was pulled. All the others (by blokes 🤔) about Morrisey, Ian Brown, Russell Brand etc still standing.
The best bit is that the person running the page asked in the OP that everyone be respectful of "different political persuasions" in the comments. Just not ones that involve defending women and girls eh?!
Laughably predictable and kinda amusing but just proved to me how little ability there is on the other side to debate this stuff. They just instantly delete any views that differ from their own and think that this means that the differing opinions cease to exist in real life.
