Very odd. Something afoot?

I'm doubtful about this.

  1. I've not seen any "before" screenshots.
  2. An election is in a few weeks so they need to have the "promoted by" stuff in headers.

I wish it was something more though Sad

What's going with n?

Masdintle · 14/03/2022 23:22

Going on Angry

@Masdintle

What's going with n?
Nothing-hell will freeze over before she goes GC in any way.
KittenKong · 15/03/2022 07:33

Don’t worry - I’ll pick them up and hand them back to her/them. They can’t just try to slowly back out…

Local government elections. Don't worry they will be back in June
Hoardasurass · 15/03/2022 07:41

She will be trying to come across as an unbiased centrist for the upcoming council elections in the hope that the SNP won't be punished for their GRA bill. Really hope that it doesn't work especially as she has made it clear that she will not allow a free vote on the GRA bill.
I hate say it but it looks like I'll be voting tory in May as they are the only party that knows what a woman is 🤬

Whattochoosenow · 15/03/2022 07:46

Is there somewhere you can look up how your MSP votes on things?

I do wonder with politicians how they can possibly not grasp the issues and the “bigot’s” actual point of view - they are humans with agency, it’s just a couple of hours reading a book or letting someone explain the concerns, to see that it is not about bigotry or hatred of trans people. So I assume any politician worth their salt is able to be informed and that gradually more and more of them will get it. (Not saying they have to be GC, but to realise it’s a valid debate.)

Of course it might be purely cynical marketing but I still believe that most politicians, especially female ones, will get it the moment they actually listen.

Lovelyricepudding · 15/03/2022 07:58

Are there going to be in person hustings this time? At the parliament elections they could avoid any questions on this as the carefully selected coordinators of virtual gusting just didn't allow the questions

PearPickingPorky · 15/03/2022 08:08

Quite a few SNP MSPs have done similar this week.

They're trying to make themselves look less of a gemder cultist because they know Self-ID isn't popular.

They haven't switched to the side of women and girls, that's for sure.

Rainbowlaceshelp · 15/03/2022 08:34

Doesn't make sense. So they know it is unpopular enough to hide in the run up to elections, thinking it will sway anyone who either knows their hardline stance or is oblivious - yet nobody will notice when the policy is implemented?

Just doesn't make sense.

DomesticatedZombie · 15/03/2022 09:16

Is this on Twitter? MSPs have dropped pronouns on Twitter?

DomesticatedZombie · 15/03/2022 09:16

I am absolutely delighted to hear this. I have been wondering how long it would take for Sturgeon to realise how much of a poisoned chalice gender ideology is and drop it. She's a populist above all.

dinodora · 15/03/2022 09:35

One smp I knew slightly personally has always been rather worried that JKR could damage her tra Parliamentary career.

👀

dinodora · 15/03/2022 09:37

Can't remember if they used to have pronouns there but there's none now. Trans flag emoji there mind you Hmm

MSP's -

www.parliament.scot/chamber-and-committees/votes-and-motions/votes-and-motions-search

MP's and House of Lords -

"Votes in Parliament - UK Parliament" votes.parliament.uk

potniatheron · 15/03/2022 10:40

Maybe she's noticed it doesn't play well with the ordinary people on whose votes she relies.

WalrusSubmarine · 15/03/2022 10:50

Na. She’s taken them off just so she can make a massive fuss of putting them back on again.

RedToothBrush · 15/03/2022 11:15

Yes something afoot.

Who else spotted this yesterday?

Liberal Voice for women @libvoice4womem
Lib Dem conference has just overwhelmingly passed a Constitutional Amendment motion to add the word 'sex' as a Protected Characteristic back into the party's Constitution.
#SexMatters
#LDConf

There has never been a better time for liberal-minded people who believe sex is real and sex matters to join the @LibDems. We still have some way to go to restoring open debate and women-friendly policies, but this is an important first step on the journey

I also think the fact that these parties are not reflecting public opinion nor the law is starting to catch up.

I suggest to keep watching...

littlbrowndog · 15/03/2022 11:27

I swear sturgeon had the she/ her pronouns

I swear I think 🧐

bellinisurge · 15/03/2022 11:33

Tick tock. As opposed to Tiktok

Well they're failing. So many people on the ground against it.

It's like a brexit situation of not listening
