Manchester MVAGW vigil and woman beaten up

I don't know an awful lot about it other than a woman was dragged to the floor by 1 or 2 trans activists males (of course).

It's absolutely shocking.

We've seen women attacked in France, Spain, South America. It's a worldwide anti-women movement. Anti feminist, anti women, violent males. Plus ca change.

I can't get over how far that sort of behaviour is from the way that women behave. I thought these pricks believe themselves to be women? If so, how come they show off their boring male entitlement all the time?

To Belstaffie's assailants - just incase you happen upon this place. See all that time and effort you put into learning how to change your walk, how you sit, how to do eyeliner flick, how to get wigs to sit correctly, how to tuck, how to talk, how to pass? None of it works because we see your anger and angry women don't behave like you do.

If you want to pass then watch and learn from how the women you angered by attacking Belstaffie respond.

You watch as women hear about what you did and more and more of us wake up. If you were smart you'd have engaged in debate, not assault, then these new women would have been left blissfully unaware. You couldn't, though, you couldn't control your behaviour because there was a woman saying and doing things you didn't want her to, so your testosterone kicked in and you did something very male in response - you responded with aggression. If passing is your goal you might want to work on that.

Drawing attention to women protesting about the loss of our rights, assaulting us and showing the country how it was dismissed by the police, making space for women to say "acid attacks happen routinely so milk shake is not benign", showing everyone who Belstaffie is and leading them to her amazing work, particularly, #punteroftheweek...well, I need to say "thanks, skinny TRA dude for sacrificing your protein shake for the good of the sisterhood"

You're doing our work for us, you absolute fool.

Can we get #punteroftheweek trending? Might cheer Belstaffie up.

Jesus Christ.

Whatever happened to “be kind”, eh?

Why does it not extend to not assaulting women on a march for womens rights?

Rhetorical question, obviously. We know why.

AlisonDonut · 14/03/2022 12:00

How better to show how not a man you are than by attacking women and for other men to let you off with a caution.

FunnyTalks · 14/03/2022 13:10

Another woman at the same march was apparently also attacked by the same guy (remember feminists are repeatedly told "guy" is a gender neutral term, so no misgendering here! Not that we really need to highlight the sex of the attacker when it shines through their actions)

I can't do links sorry but Leonora Christina @jammersminde on twitter has screenshot of the guy pretty much admitting it.

NitroNine · 14/03/2022 13:52

Does anyone know if all the crowing on Twitter might remind the police about the “without fear or favour” part of their job?

Those poor little girls must have been so frightened to be exposed to male-pattern violence like that. It was a perfectly peaceful walking vigil & nothing to do with trans women until they made a hijacking attempt - & for once people pushed back.

All this feeling “intimidated” & “unsafe” nonsense: the “fight” part of “fight, flight, or freeze” does not involve trying to pick a fight; let alone coming back to have another go (making sure to terrorise some little girls en route) after you’ve assaulted people then run away.

VelvetChairGirl · 14/03/2022 14:23

@Slothtoes

Male violence. Targeting women at a protest against male violence. And the perps get only a caution? Isn’t the nature and timing of this attack in some way an aggravated attack- because it was specifically attacking women at an event by and for women on IWD weekend? Like it would be considered aggravated surely if someone attacked another group at (..name any other protected characteristic group event..)
but we are not protected, woman hate is perfectly legal, it wasnt that long ago the tories refused to add misogyny to the hate crime legislation.
VelvetChairGirl · 14/03/2022 14:28

its pretty thick really attacking women on a protest about violence against women, I'm surprised the TRAs have not turned on the idiot. its a great way of galvanizing opinion against you.

Rhannion · 14/03/2022 17:47

The issue with the misogyny Bill is the definition of woman and women. If the trans mafia can use the word woman and women then any woman could be accused of misogyny by not agreeing that TWAW.

The bill must define woman in a clear way, which at present it certainly does not.

Rhannion · 14/03/2022 17:48

And The BS from the labour leader and those two women MPs doesn’t help, bloody fools.

MoltenLasagne · 14/03/2022 18:49

A bloody caution?! No wonder male violence escalates when they get away with so much.

KittenKong · 14/03/2022 19:25

He will be emboldened by this and all his silly wee twitter pals are egging him on. He’s not going to stop is he until someone gets hurt.

@vivariumvivariumsvivaria

Exactly. I am one of the new women, being fairly new to MN and the Feminism forum. I used to be 'blissfully unaware' of what was happening with women's rights.

I had no idea that male trans activists were being so physically and verbally aggressive against women. All because women want to keep their safe single sex spaces in prisons, hospitals, refuge centres, changing rooms, toilets etc. And because women also want a safe single sex space for their girls at school, in changing rooms, toilets etc.

We don't want our girls growing up to believe that seeing male genitalia should be a normal part of their day, when they are simply showering/changing after a swim or a PE lesson.

I had never heard of Belstaffie until today. I admire her courage, spirit, and determination and wish to thank her for all she is doing for women and girls.

The fact that Belstaffie was on a march with young children when this attack happened and the police merely gave a caution is disgraceful.

Your aggression to Belstaffie and other women/girls shows your true colours. Not only did you have no qualms about attacking her, you didn't care how this would affect the other women and children around her who witnessed your aggression.

As if we ever did want you and your like in our safe spaces to start with, we definitely don't now. Why would we? You are volatile, violent and vile.

As vivariumvivariumsvivaria mentioned, 'You're doing our work for us, you absolute fool'

UsernameNotAvailableHmm · 14/03/2022 20:30

Flowers for Belstaffie and everyone else who witnessed this attack

Time after time on this board, I see what happens when women (as opposed to men) get angry. They go deep, find a laser clarity and put words to it, to devastating effect, as you have done here @vivariumvivariumsvivaria. I love every word you have written here.
Deliriumoftheendless · 14/03/2022 21:16

If someone born male who identified as a man (what we used to call a man) had done this, what would the feminists who support TRAs say, I wonder?

FOJN · 15/03/2022 09:25

Maria MacLachlan covered the incident on her YouTube channel. Hope Izzy is OK.

Belstaffe has just tweeted.
#MaleViolence. When a man targets a woman leading chants against male violence, by throwing bottles of milkshake over her from behind, twice, and then @gmpolice decide only to caution him, women we have a huge misogyny problem on the streets! t.co/IkvKvTCGeu t.co/q7BnzJT2aD[/quote]
What a disgrace. The police are becoming an embarrassment to those of us who support the rule of law.

Best wishes to Belstaffie and all victims of male violence.

Excellent statemen

"One thing I do know is that violence and fear are tools of oppression and not progress.."

Quite.

I'm glad she's determined to keep going. I am however despondent that it appears that again and again the police show these people that they will basically get away scot free with reacting violently to feminist marches and meetings if we don't share their views on gender.

Gumbomambo · 15/03/2022 16:31

Really distressing reading Gemma’s statement, she was collecting for childrens support services for fucks sake! She was followed by the same person who had already assaulted 2 other people and NOTHING was done. No midnight raid round their house for them. Same old same old same old. I know whose side I’m on.

jay55 · 15/03/2022 17:06

Yes, a caution and over and done with for assault. But put up some stickers and expect a long drawn out stressful, undignified time with the police.

KittenKong · 15/03/2022 17:09

Another caution isn’t it? They’ve has their collar felt for similar behaviour before?

so that works then.
