I don't know an awful lot about it other than a woman was dragged to the floor by 1 or 2 trans activists males (of course).

It's absolutely shocking.

Male violence. Targeting women at a protest against male violence. And the perps get only a caution? Isn’t the nature and timing of this attack in some way an aggravated attack- because it was specifically attacking women at an event by and for women on IWD weekend? Like it would be considered aggravated surely if someone attacked another group at (..name any other protected characteristic group event..)

ScreamingMeMe · 13/03/2022 22:10

Disgusting.

KittyLeMew · 13/03/2022 22:48

A caution are they fucking kidding?

Vile vile excuses for humans.

And everyone tweeting their support for them can go fuck themselves too, and the disgusting sisters uncut tweeter (sisters uncut can also fuck off).

FUCK OFF

CompleteGinasaur · 13/03/2022 23:08

A caution is absolutely inadequate for this, especially in light of the circumstances - the nature and reasons for the march, the nature and reasons for the offence, the fact of it being IWD (though that's been a bitter joke for a long time). But it does stay on his record and will be there for future employers to consider when he has to go and live in the real world after Uni..

And love to Belstaffie - I don't know if she knows how much her work in the nightmare that was Holbeck was appreciated by women she'll never know.. I for one certainly do.

unwashedanddazed · 13/03/2022 23:08

I have huge admiration for Belstaffie. She's well worth following on Twitter if any of you aren't already. Massively well informed and courageous.

So angry this has happened to her.

Rhannion · 13/03/2022 23:39

Belstaffie is a force of nature.

Redshoeblueshoe · 13/03/2022 23:43

Belstaffie is bloody amazing and if I see her round Manchester I'll buy her a drink !

Cheekymaw · 13/03/2022 23:56

That's disgraceful - a caution ! Love Belstaffie - she has done so much really important stuff. I hope she is okay .

Scorchedterf · 14/03/2022 00:01

It’s clear. Male women are better than female women.
If your a female woman you need to be kind and let the male women do exactly what they want , even physically attack you, and the authorities will be very lenient to the male women.

Redshoeblueshoe · 14/03/2022 00:22

Yes Scortched I think I will be a much better woman when I grow a penis 🤣

Was this the person who said on twitter that he watched his own mum be a victim of DV as a child?

As someone on twitter said - he accepted a caution which means it’s recorded (along with previous attack/s). Sadly he is being egged on by folx on social media and I can’t see it ending well if he is emboldened (and others too).

darlingdodo · 14/03/2022 08:27

When you think of what Maya Forster and many others have been put through for using (totally correct and legal) words, then this individual receives a caution for (using a favourite TRA term) 'literal violence'. Beggars belief.

KittenKong · 14/03/2022 08:42

Have any papers picked this up yet?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 14/03/2022 08:50

The little thug is openly boasting about it on Twitter. Is that not harassment of a victim of crime?

allmywhat · 14/03/2022 09:21

What is his name? Prospective employers and romantic partners should be able to find his violence against women with a simple Google search. Would it be breaking a rule to have his name on the thread?

Waitwhat23 · 14/03/2022 09:28

My first thought was - if someone threw some sort of liquid at me at a march, my first thought wouldn't be that it was a milkshake. My first thought would be that it was corrosive and meant to harm, like acid. There's plenty of 'it's only a milkshake comments' on Twitter but it's meant as a fear tactic.

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 14/03/2022 09:28

allmywhat

I wouldn’t post names on this thread as it will probably result in the thread being targeted for complaints leading to it being deleted.

There are some people who are very keen to shut down discussions about MVAGW as Belstaffie’s experience shows.

DomesticatedZombie · 14/03/2022 09:30

Women can't protest against male violence without being attacked.

We can't name men who attack women.

The men are able to boast openly about attacking women.

I see.

Of course it is. As soon as someone resorts to violence, threat and intimidation they have crossed the line.

I'm shocked and furious that the police didn't take this more seriously.

Imnobody4 · 14/03/2022 09:36

The judge in the trial of Farage's attacker said exactly this. It's about provoking fear.

DomesticatedZombie · 14/03/2022 09:49

This is an old article - 15 acid attacks a week in the UK in 2018.

www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/shocking-fifteen-acid-attacks-happen-13073723

Another old-ish one:

www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/acid-attacks-uk-highest-world-figures-police-revealed-a8098236.html

'UK has one of highest rates of acid attacks in the world, police reveal

An average of two attacks a day are recorded by forces across the country'

ScreamingMeMe · 14/03/2022 09:57

The same thing happened in Australia.
