This section from the review: "About half the book is given over to documenting the various excesses of this [gender] movement, which Burchill sees as part of a broader war on women by men who want to imitate them, men who want to sleep with them and men who want to kill them." What a succinct summary of our current predicament!

Help me out- why do I think Julie Birchill is or was full on TWAW and a proper queer theory / gender ideologue ?
Am I wrong or has Birchill changed track?

I always thought there was Julie Bindell and the other Julie who was a genderist.

She's never been a TWAW activist. I believe she got in trouble years ago, before the current trend was so loud and everywhere, for calling trans women 'bedwetters in bad wigs'.

Love her or hate her (and she doesn't care which it is), she doesn't mince words
