From a bit of googling, Rebecca Solnit is there as a bow to the fact that the concept is hers - she made the City of Women map of New York. Seems fine, recognition for ideas etc.

April Ashley is in Parsons Green - which is in the borough of Fulham and Hammersmith. Lolita Roy? Is she on the map already?

When I first heard about this, my first reaction was What is the point of it? All these empty, meaningless gestures that don’t affect any real change, in the name of feminist activism.

In itself I think it's a nice thing. I certainly hadn't heard of quite a few of the women mentioned and it was interesting to read about them.
