Any period pants that haven’t sold out?

Sexnotgender · 18/02/2022 19:46

I’d love to get period pants and maybe a menstrual cup but I’m buggered if I’m handing over my hard earned cash to arseholes who erase women.

Any recommendations?

I got some from Sainsbury's, seem to do fine.

I've heard Primark do ok ones.

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 18/02/2022 20:55

WUKA did try a bit of "for all women, even those who think they are not female" marketing. Got told off on social media. Dropped the whole thing and are now firmly women focussed. suspect some advertising agency got a knuckle rapping from the CEO. Who's from Nepal, so, you know, I expect she understands the challenges of menstruating while female.

I bought them because of this. They are great, no leaks, not sweaty. Expensive, but washing well and no place to fit the penis that I don't have, which is worth an extra tenner.

Yearofthetygerburningbright · 18/02/2022 21:09

They had some in both Westfield and Marble Arch Primarks a few days ago.

Yearofthetygerburningbright · 18/02/2022 21:10

That was Westfield London (not Stratford). I can't vouch for them. I've had non-period pants from there that are excellent, and some that are far from excellent. Looked all right at a long glance.

Sexnotgender · 18/02/2022 21:11

Thanks. I’d rather buy from somewhere more ethical than primark.

Sorry I’m picky 🙈

I have modi bodi. Cost an arm and a leg. What have they done ffs?

ButterflyBitch · 18/02/2022 21:16

Modi Bodi sold out didn’t they?

NOTANUM · 18/02/2022 21:17

We have a range in this house.
Ignoring all politics the order of preference is
Modi Bodi
primark
Wuka

The Wuka ones are big like a nappy and have a weird smell. The Primark ones are very close runner ups to Modi Bodi.

Have ModiBodi gone all “people with periods” ? I don’t buy Thinx because of this, I like my Modibodi pants but I won’t buy any more if this the case. I have a nice pair from French lingerie brand Chantelle, but they were expensive.
CharlesChickens · 18/02/2022 21:20

OP there is a picture of a handbag there with a name, I think posted by mistake ?

Sexnotgender · 18/02/2022 21:21

Yes there is. I’ve reported it thank you.

Oh DAMMIT. I bought Wuka because there was no woo.

EffYouSeeKaye · 18/02/2022 21:31

Hmm. I’m going to have a look at the Modi Bodi website and see if they’ve dropped ‘women’ then. Their stock levels fluctuate a bit but I managed to get everything I need in two separate orders and a second mortgage. I’ll be pissed off if they’ve abandoned us.

EffYouSeeKaye · 18/02/2022 21:34

I think we’re good.

Dear Kate website is full of mentions of women and girls. The pants are good, although they are pricier and shipping seems more complicated than when I bought a few years ago.

CaptMorgan · 18/02/2022 22:09

Definitely look at WearEmOut. Small local business, really great quality products.

Take a look on the Earthwise site. Me and my daughter's use their brand of period pads and when you buy a three they donate one to a girl in Kenya so more girls can go to school when on their period. They sell Wuka pants. earthwisegirls.co.uk/?s=Pants&post_type=product&dgwt_wcas=1
FemaleAndLearning · 18/02/2022 22:43

Sorry just seen the Wuka statement above.
