Perhaps she was afraid of a pile on, but it was a missed chance to educate the readers.

It was a very brief mention, but it's a start. It's good to see weel kent figures saying 'no, thank you'.

Good for her. She'll get a pile on from the normal anti women bigots anyway, no matter how mild her comments but she's just speaking up for the millions of women quietly horrified at what's being done to us without our consent.

Increasingly what I see is women avoiding the subject (gender) altogether. They don't mention it, they delberately don't get involved. I don't blame them, given what tends to happen.

We seem to be developing a new kind of minefield that women have to tiptoe through, avoiding trigger words and certain subjects carefully.

She's an old-fashioned feminist with her head screwed on and she's been through a hell of a lot. I'm not surprised (but very happy) to see she's got no time for this nonsense.

I think its brevity is powerful, actually. Like, 'this is barely worth talking about beyond stating the obvious, if I have to.'

That word "just" is a purposeful one, isn't it?

Agree, with you, @IntermittentParps she could say lots - but she can't be arsed because trying to get nuance out of nonsense is not very interesting.

'anti women bigots' - will have to remember that phrase for when it's needed.
