Just fascinated to read this tweet from Nancy Kelly, ceo of Stonewall:
'Anti trans actors and activists don't own the word woman, or the word feminist (or the word lesbian) Not in the streets, and not in the academic setting either. So if you, like the majority of cis women want trans peoples rights to be respected and protected speak up.'
What is absolutely galling is not only was Stonewall infamous for the mantra' no debate ', but she turned off replies to her tweet!!!!!
..... What is really encouraging is that, scrolling through the quote tweets she is absolutely hauled over the coals - not a single quote tweet in support.
I also note, only 70 likes for 9000 followers. I got 100 x more likes on a tweet objecting to Lia Thompson and I only have 500 followers!!
Scroll through her mentions, every single one is challenging her, very little in support.
And this is what I am finding really hard to get....
The world does not live on twitter. Likes, retweets, quote tweets, mentions, just mean nothing in the real world but twitter is where all this has come from, where politicians and companies like Auto trader and organisations like Stonewall looked to for trends and gauged popular opinion.
So when the ratios are sooooo unilaterally against them now, why aren't they looking, monitoring, replying and re evaluating!?
