Boots cut price of MAP to £10

Just seen that Boots are cutting the price of the morning after pill to £10, from £15.99 which now makes it the cheapest of the big three high street pharmacies.

What I didn't realise is that women with a BMI over 26 or weigh more than 11st need a double pack, so would have had to pay £32 previously, rather than £20 now at Boots.

Wasn't there a big row about this a year or two ago? Not last Black Friday but a while ago - something the boss of Boots said, maybe they raised the price then?

Ahh this was it
www.theguardian.com/society/2018/jan/29/boots-cuts-price-of-morning-after-pill-across-uk

Originally it refused to lower the price
www.theguardian.com/business/2017/jul/20/boots-faces-boycott-over-refusal-to-lower-cost-of-morning-after-pill

"Boots, however, said it would not lower the price as it did not want to be accused of “incentivising inappropriate use”. Campaigners said its statement was insulting and sexist. "

Can't believe that was 5 years ago!
